What actually changes

Sensors, connectivity, control, and storage separate the two models

WOLFBOX’s current comparison identifies a Sony STARVIS IMX678 front sensor and OmniVision PureCel Plus OS04J10 rear sensor for the G900 Pro, while describing the G900 with previous-generation custom sensors. The same comparison lists 3D noise reduction for the Pro and 2D noise reduction for the G900. These are meaningful hardware distinctions, but they should still be judged through representative footage captured at the speeds, lighting, and camera positions that resemble the buyer’s driving.

The daily-use difference is clearer. The G900 Pro supports Wi-Fi and app control plus voice control; the G900 does not. The Pro page lists storage up to 512GB, compared with 256GB on the current G900 page. A larger card can lengthen the overwrite window, while app access can reduce the friction of saving a clip. Neither feature replaces learning how to protect, export, and back up an important file.

Fit before features

Neither model escapes the physical questions. Measure the factory mirror, mirror stem, front-camera clearance, buttons, sensors, overhead console, and both sun visors. Check whether the screen can sit securely without hiding required controls or forcing the camera behind a factory housing. A premium sensor cannot recover a view that is physically blocked.

Rear-camera placement is equally important. Through-glass mounting simplifies weather protection but makes the image dependent on rear-glass condition, tint, defroster lines, wipers, and cargo. An exterior mount may improve the live view for a truck, camper, or blocked rear window but adds weather, fastening, cable-entry, and service considerations. Plan the route before choosing a bundle or extension cable.

Parking and power

Parking coverage is constrained by camera view, available power, storage, sensitivity settings, and the type of parking mode supported by the exact hardware. It is not continuous surveillance by default, and it does not guarantee that every incident will be recorded or identifiable. After installation, confirm that normal driving mode, parked behavior, timestamps, protected files, and battery protection work as expected.

Compare complete packages, not headline prices. Confirm the exact model and ASIN, rear-camera type, GPS receiver, mounting hardware, cable length, memory card, polarizing filter, hardwire kit, extension cable, warranty, seller, and return window. Regional availability can differ, and a listing labeled “G900 series” is not enough to prove that it contains the model discussed here.
